A-list actor looks completely different in new role for ‘Dexter’ spinoff

"Succession" alum Brian Cox appeared completely unrecognizable while filming the second season of the "Dexter" spinoff "Dexter: Resurrection" in Queens, New York. The 80-year-old actor, who plays Don Framt (aka the New York Ripper), was seen in character wearing a blue polo, dark pants, and a motorized wheelchair, with longer white hair, a mustache, and wire-rimmed glasses. His character was introduced in Season 1 but never seen on screen. An official release describes Framt as a serial killer who terrorized the city years ago and now taunts the survivors of his murder spree. Cox, who was the first actor to play Dr. Hannibal Lecter in 1986's "Manhunter," has spoken about his approach to playing serial killers, emphasizing the importance of making them seem acceptable rather than playing them as "bogeymen." He cited serial killer Ted Bundy as an example of how he tapped into a character's "almost acceptability." Despite his decades of experience, Cox has been candid about the difficulty of transforming into a character.
