Larry Birkhead, the ex-partner of Anna Nicole Smith, has slammed an upcoming biopic about Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, who was implicated in Smith's death. Birkhead said he absolutely objects to his, Smith's, and their daughter Dannielynn's lives being used in a movie about a doctor that people were supposed to trust. He claimed he warned Kapoor and his representatives about the harm and emotional distress the film could cause, particularly for Dannielynn, and has filed a complaint with the California Medical Board over Kapoor's participation. Smith died in 2007 following a drug overdose at age 39. Kapoor was charged two years later with conspiracy and excessive prescribing of opiates, but was acquitted on all counts in 2010. He later wrote a memoir that inspired the biopic, which stars Kal Penn as Kapoor and Abbie Cornish as Smith. Birkhead said he didn't approve of Cornish playing Smith, stating he didn't think she quite embodied Anna Nicole, though Penn praised Cornish's performance, saying she really embodied Smith in a very striking way.
