Anthony Hopkins, the 88-year-old Oscar-winning actor, is launching a new career as a classical music composer. He has signed with Decca Classics and will release an album titled "Life is a Dream" on August 21. The album features compositions Hopkins has written over decades, performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra and conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. Hopkins stated, "Music was my first desire, my first wish," and noted that some pieces have "lived with me for decades." The label described the album as an "intimate musical memoir" inspired by his Welsh upbringing and life experiences.
