Bonnie Tyler, the Grammy-nominated singer known for hits like "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Holding Out For a Hero," has died at the age of 75. Her family announced that she "unexpectedly passed away" in a hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness she was being treated for. The singer's final performance was on March 19 at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire, where she belted out "Total Eclipse of the Heart" while looking happy and healthy. Tyler had been hospitalized in Faro, Portugal, at the end of April due to a serious tear in her bowel. She underwent emergency intestinal surgery and was placed in a medically induced coma after complications. When doctors first tried to bring her out of the coma, she went into cardiac arrest but was eventually awoken in June. Her team had previously stated she was still "seriously ill" with a slow recovery process ahead. Tyler is survived by her husband, Robert Sullivan.
