Serie A club Fiorentina have agreed a season-long loan deal for Bournemouth's Spanish defender Alex Jimenez. The deal includes a €20m (£17m) option to make the move permanent, allowing Jimenez to continue playing after being suspended by Bournemouth pending an investigation into social media allegations. The 21-year-old was dropped from the first team in May over what the club called a "serious matter" relating to "posts circulating on social media." Jimenez initially joined Bournemouth on loan from AC Milan before signing permanently in February on a deal until 2031, making 32 appearances last season and scoring once.
