Charlie Kirk's family expressed hope that the truth will prevail as accused killer Tyler Robinson's preliminary hearing concluded. In a statement to Us Weekly, the family said the hearing's conclusion 'marks an important step forward in the pursuit of justice for Charlie' and that they are 'grateful for the prayers, support, and kindness' extended to them. The family added, 'As this case moves into its next phase, we pray that truth will continue to be heard through a process that is fair, transparent, and grounded in the facts.' Kirk was shot and killed during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University in September 2025. Robinson, 23, was charged with aggravated murder and other offenses. During the hearing, the Kirk family's attorney argued that video evidence should be made public, saying, 'To not be transparent here, to not be open, to not let the world see what happened, will create doubt and distrust in the judicial system.' The judge allowed most of an interview with Robinson's roommate to be played publicly.
