IO Interactive, the developer of Hitman and 007: First Light, will close one of its studios and lay off an undisclosed number of employees. This follows Xbox's decision to withdraw funding for a future project, known by the codename Project Dragon, an online fantasy RPG that had been in development for years with partial funding from Xbox. The project became a victim of cost-cutting after Xbox announced thousands of layoffs and ended several external partnerships.
