Thirty years after its launch, Windows 95 continues to inspire creativity among enthusiasts. Modder MetraByte managed to run Microsoft's operating system on a PlayStation 2, though the experience was far from perfect. The project drew attention due to its complexity, as the PS2 uses a processor based on the MIPS architecture, which is incompatible with Windows 95's requirement for x86 architecture. To make it possible, MetraByte had to install an x86 emulator on the console.
