The PlayStation 4 and 5 ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 have arrived, but players are disappointed with the quality offered for the price. Activision is charging £35 ($40) for each game, with DLC packs sold separately, meaning a total of £122 ($140) for the full package. PlayStation Plus members receive a substantial discount until August 6th. Digital Foundry called the ports "low effort," noting they offer barely any improvements over Xbox backwards compatibility. The games do not output at 4K, offer no 120Hz framerate option, and lack features like an FOV slider. The only upgrade is the output resolution of 1080p, which is higher than the Xbox 360 version's 608p but already available through Xbox backwards compatibility. Activision clarified that PS4 and PS5 players can matchmake together, and season pass owners can matchmake with non-owners.
