Manchester City have agreed a £12.5m deal to sign 17-year-old Jeremy Monga from Leicester City, beating Premier League champions Arsenal and Brentford to the teenager's signature. Monga, who became Leicester's youngest starter at 16 years and 34 days old, made 37 appearances for the Foxes, including seven as a substitute in the Premier League. He is the third-youngest player to feature in the Premier League, behind Arsenal's Max Dowman and Ethan Nwaneri. Monga, an England youth international, primarily plays from the left wing but can also operate on the right flank and is adept with both feet. The move has accelerated under new City manager Enzo Maresca, who worked with Monga during his time at Leicester. It is not yet known whether Monga will be integrated into the first-team or start in the academy, but he could join the club's pre-season tour of Hong Kong and Seoul.
