John Stamos Admits He 'Didn't Get Along' With Bob Saget Early on 'Full House'

John Stamos and Bob Saget, who played brothers-in-law on "Full House," developed a lifelong brotherhood off-screen, but their bond wasn't immediate. Saget revealed in an April 2017 appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that the two "weren't besties" during the first four years of working together, noting their different lifestyles at the time. Despite the slow start, the pair became incredibly close, with Saget stating in 2009 that Stamos had "truly become my family." Their friendship continued long after "Full House" ended in 1995, and they reunited for the Netflix revival "Fuller House" in 2019. Saget, who died suddenly in January 2022 at age 65, said he was more emotional about seeing the cast than saying goodbye to his character. Stamos was a frequent presence at Saget's charity events, and the two remained close until Saget's passing.
