The couple are practicing members of the Baha'i faith, and Justin said they are "closer and more devoted and steadfast in our faith than we've ever been." Justin thanked fans who supported them when they "didn't have a voice," while Emily acknowledged the "injustice and the pain" they have felt over the past few years. The legal battle began in late 2023 when Lively accused Justin of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment, allegations he vehemently denied. A judge dismissed a majority of Lively's claims in May before the remaining charges were settled weeks before a scheduled trial.
