Luke Wilson has spoken publicly for the first time about becoming a father, welcoming his first baby with longtime partner Kendall Yates. The 54-year-old actor told Entertainment Tonight at a premiere that he is "very proud to be a dad" and is "just trying to do a good job." The couple, who have been linked since 2023, quietly welcomed the baby and have not publicly revealed the infant's name or sex. Wilson had previously expressed his desire to have children after seeing his brothers Owen and Andrew become fathers. In past interviews, he joked about wanting to have kids before getting too old, and has spoken about enjoying his role as an uncle. He and Yates made their public debut as a couple in June 2024.
