Mojang has announced a new update for the test versions of Minecraft Bedrock and Java that adds highly requested pillows, allowing players to finally sit in the game after 17 years. The pillows can be positioned on any flat surface, eliminating the need to hold the shift key to pretend to sit on decorative chairs. The update also adds straw beds that allow players to pass the night without resetting their spawn point, though these are destroyed after use and cannot be used in the Nether or The End. The update also adds abandoned camps in the Pale Garden and Flower Forest biomes where straw beds can be found. The community reaction has been very positive, with players celebrating the addition of pillows and sharing images of their now-functional sofas and chairs.
