Olise yellow card stands as Saibari out for Morocco

France's attempt to have Michael Olise's yellow card overturned has failed, meaning the Bayern Munich winger remains at risk of missing a potential semi-final if he receives another booking. The card was issued during a fiery last-16 match against Paraguay, which France won 1-0. France manager Didier Deschamps confirmed the decision, stating, "The yellow card has not changed. We were notified by Fifa this morning, it has been maintained." The booking stands despite Fifa suspending a red card for US striker Folarin Balogun earlier in the tournament. Meanwhile, Morocco will be without key player Ismael Saibari for their quarter-final against France due to a hamstring injury. Saibari, who scored in each of Morocco's group games and converted the winning penalty against the Netherlands, was forced off after 22 minutes in Morocco's 3-0 win against Canada. Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi expressed hope that the injury is not the end of the tournament for him, saying, "He's not ready but I hope it's not the end of the tournament for him."
