The new models solve previous issues like interrupting users and lacking intelligence, and they can send queries to OpenAI's latest text models for advanced capabilities. OpenAI believes voice could become the primary interface for computing, enabling complex, long-running tasks. The company noted that over 150 million people already use ChatGPT's voice features, and rivals like Apple and Amazon are also working on more conversational assistants.
