Peter Krause Leaves Message for '9-1-1' Fan Convention After Onscreen Death

Peter Krause’s Captain Bobby Nash has risen from the dead — well, sort of — and is sending 9-1-1 fans a message from his latest adventure. Krause began an Instagram video message on Friday, July 10, speaking in French while seemingly backpacking in the wilderness, with the message loosely translating to, "Hello, life is beautiful. But it’s death, the way he ends up." Krause’s former 9-1-1 costar Kenneth Choi shared the video via social media, revealing that the message was meant for "fans at the Paris convention." At the end of the clip, the camera pans from Krause to the live audience in France screaming with excitement at his virtual appearance. Krause played Captain Bobby Nash on 9-1-1 from its premiere in 2018 to 2025 when his character was killed off amid season 8. During the heartbreaking episode, Bobby saved firefighter Chimney (Choi) from a deadly virus by procuring the antidote and handing it over, revealing that he was also infected and would not survive. NBC announced in February that Krause is the lead of their latest TV drama called Line of Fire.
