Qarabag's Duran poised for Celtic medical

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has confirmed that Qarabag forward Camilo Duran is poised to have a medical to become the club's first summer signing. The 24-year-old Colombian, who joined Qarabag from Portuguese club Portimonense less than a year ago, will arrive for an undisclosed fee. Duran scored five goals in 10 Champions League appearances, which brought him into the spotlight. O'Neill told Celtic TV that Duran is doing a medical as they speak, or will do so the following morning. The manager acknowledged fan concern over the lack of new signings while rivals Heart of Midlothian and Rangers have been active, but assured supporters that the club is looking at a number of players and has offers in for others. He expressed hope that the squad will be improved in the coming weeks.
