Disney has announced a new film in the *Cheetah Girls* franchise titled *The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen*, which will see original stars Raven-Symoné and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton reprise their roles as Galleria and Chanel. The new movie will introduce a younger cast, including Leah Sava’ Jeffries, Carmen Sanchez, Kaileen Chang, and Sophie Lennon, who will play a new generation of Cheetah Girls. Other original cast members returning include Lynn Whitfield, Lori Alter, and Sabrina Bryan, with Sophia Bush also appearing in a supporting role. The story follows Galleria and Chanel, along with Galleria’s daughter Faith and her three friends, as they travel to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary. There, they must test their friendship and find their voice to save the preserve and become the new Cheetah Girls. Raven-Symoné, who is also an executive producer, expressed her excitement on Instagram. Filming is expected to begin in South Africa later this month, though a premiere date has not yet been announced.
