Rosie O’Donnell’s prison visit with daughter Chelsea was first time they’d spoken properly in 10 years

Rosie O'Donnell has revealed that her recent prison visit with her eldest daughter, Chelsea, marked the first meaningful conversation they have had in a decade. The comedian told Page Six that the four-hour visit was "the first conversation I've had with her in 10 years that lasted more than 25 minutes." O'Donnell noted that Chelsea cried when the visit was cut short due to a tornado warning, describing it as the first time she has seen "empathetic emotion" from her daughter. Chelsea, a mother of four, was sentenced to jail after her probation was revoked following charges including felony bail jumping and possession of methamphetamine. O'Donnell shared that Chelsea has been sober for "almost two years now" and acknowledged the challenges of her daughter being born addicted. The relationship will be the subject of O'Donnell's next one-woman show, for which she has sought Chelsea's input. O'Donnell's current show, "Common Knowledge," is set to open on Broadway and touches on her recent move to Ireland following President Trump's second term.
