Bravo's "Summer House" franchise is expanding to Canada with a new spinoff titled "Summer House Canada," as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter on July 9. The upcoming series will air on NBCUniversal's reality streaming platform Hayu next year and will feature 10 episodes following a similar format to the original show, but set in Muskoka, Ontario, rather than The Hamptons. Muskoka has been dubbed the "Hamptons of the North" and features more than 1,600 lakes and cottage towns, with the show focusing on a group of friends escaping life in Toronto for summer weekends. "Summer House Canada" marks Hayu's second original series, following "The Real Housewives of London." The Vancouver-based company Lark Productions is on board to produce the series. News of the spinoff comes one day after the original "Summer House" was nominated for its first Emmy Award. The show's most recent season featured drama off screen involving cast members Amanda Batula and West Wilson, both of whom have confirmed they will not return for season 11.
