Teddy Swims has released a new single titled "Break Up in Reverse," which he confirms is autobiographical and inspired by his recent split from his girlfriend Raiche Wright, with whom he shares a 12-month-old son. The song's lyrics express a wish to undo the failed relationship, and Swims said the track was inspired by rapper Nas' 2001 song "Rewind." The singer first confirmed the breakup during a Q&A at Stagecoach in April. Wright has also publicly addressed the separation, writing on Instagram that the thought of splitting time with their baby 50/50 has been "the hardest reality I've ever had to face." Swims' new single follows the April release of "Mr. Know It All" and is part of his upcoming album.
