The cast of "This Is Us" have families as close as their TV characters. Mandy Moore, who played matriarch Rebecca Pearson, shares three children with husband Taylor Goldsmith: sons Gus and Ozzie and daughter Louise. Moore told Us Weekly in 2019 that playing a mom showed her she might not be as patient as she thought, but noted it might be different with her own children. Milo Ventimiglia, who played Jack Pearson, became a real-life dad in January 2025, the same month he and wife Jarah Mariano lost their home in the Los Angeles wildfires. Ventimiglia told Us in December 2025 that his wife is the strongest person he knows and they were able to rebound from the loss. In January 2026, Us confirmed Mariano was pregnant with their second child, and they welcomed Rock-Anthony in June 2026. Other cast members with children include Ron Cephas Jones, who had daughter Jasmine in 1989, and Justin Hartley, who welcomed daughter Isabella with Lindsay Korman in 2004.
