The fate of Arkane Lyon and its in-development game, Marvel's Blade, remains unclear following Xbox's major restructuring. The French studio is undergoing "consultation" due to local labor laws, which will include a review of potential strategic options. It is unknown whether Xbox will keep the studio, sell it, or close it down. Regarding the game itself, Microsoft has stated that none of its first-party publicly announced games are being cancelled, suggesting Blade is safe. However, a report notes that Marvel's Blade was already "over-budget" and had been "delayed internally" from a 2026 to a 2027 release. Bethesda's Todd Howard recently said he saw the game in action and was impressed, but no public release date has been given.
