Family law specialist Rachael Bennett analyzed Taylor Frankie Paul's legal situation with ex-husband Tate Paul for Us Weekly. Tate filed a temporary restraining order and a petition to modify their divorce and custody agreement on June 30, but both requests were denied the next day. The judge ruled there was no corroborating evidence to support claims that Taylor was unstable or posed a threat to their children's safety, and no proof of 'immediate and irreparable harm.' Tate has since filed a motion for reconsideration with new evidence, including text messages and calls about Taylor entering a rehab facility. Bennett explains that for the motion to succeed, Tate must show that Taylor did something in the two weeks between his return from Iceland and his filing that put the children in danger. A separate court ruling on July 8 allowed Taylor more unsupervised time with her son Ever, provided she passes a sobriety test.
