Savannah first returned to the show in April, two months after her mother's abduction, and staffers were warned not to speak about the investigation. Nancy was abducted from her Arizona home on February 1 and has not been located despite efforts by the FBI and Pima County Sheriff's office. Savannah recently spoke about the "agony and unending trauma" her family is experiencing. Several ransom notes have been received demanding millions of dollars worth of bitcoin, though some have been deemed extortion attempts without legitimacy. The FBI stated that other ransom demands "may potentially be legitimate and are still being investigated as such."
