Cillian Murphy has remembered his former "Peaky Blinders" co-star Sam Neill after the actor's sudden death at 78. Murphy told Page Six exclusively: "Like everyone who knew and worked with Sam, I admired him and adored him in equal measure," calling Neill "one of the kindest, funniest and gentlest people, and one of the finest actors." The two went head-to-head in the first two seasons of the hit gangster drama, with Neill playing antagonist Inspector Chester Campbell to Murphy's Tommy Shelby. Neill described Campbell as "probably fairly psychotic but he's a righteous man" and said he was attracted to the role because of who he'd be working with. His family announced his death on Monday, saying he was "surrounded by family and passed with the dignity that has characterized his whole life." His death comes two months after he announced he was cancer-free following treatment for angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
