Nottingham Forest have appointed former Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner as their fifth head coach in less than a year, replacing Vitor Pereira who was sacked on Tuesday. The Austrian manager, who left Palace at the end of last season, was contacted earlier this summer. Forest triggered a clause in Pereira's contract, informing him of their decision just two minutes before the clause was due to expire in June. Glasner led Crystal Palace to the Europa Conference League title last season following their FA Cup success in 2025, and also won the Community Shield. He previously managed LASK, Wolfsburg, and Eintracht Frankfurt, where he won the Europa League in 2022. Pereira, who replaced Sean Dyche in February, guided Forest to 16th in the Premier League and the Europa League semi-finals. Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, and Sean Dyche have all had spells in charge since September.
