Palworld developer Pocketpair decides not to raise the open-world survival game's price tag as it nears a 1.0 launch later this week

Palworld developer Pocketpair has decided not to raise the game's price tag as it nears its 1.0 launch on July 10. The open-world survival game will remain at $29.99 / £24.99 "as a small way of saying thank you" to players. The announcement arrived alongside confirmation that Palworld has now passed 40 million players since its January 2024 early access launch. The article notes that 40 million unique players don't translate into 40 million units sold, as Palworld launched straight into Xbox and PC Game Pass. By September 2025, the game had sold over 25 million copies. Pocketpair boss Takuro Mizobe previously said the game's initial success was "too big for a studio with our size to handle" while expressing his desire to keep the studio small and agile, though the company now has around 110 workers.
