Prince Harry's failed legal battle against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers could result in a staggering legal bill of up to £50 million (approximately $67 million) for all seven claimants combined, according to New York attorney Nicole Brenecki. The Duke of Sussex sued alongside six other plaintiffs including Elton John, David Furnish, and Elizabeth Hurley for breach of privacy, but a UK High Court judge ruled against them, stating they did not provide sufficient proof of unlawful activity. Royal expert Kinsey Schofield noted that Harry won't be personally responsible for the entire amount, as insurance is expected to cover at least part of the liability. However, the overall legal bill appears to have exceeded available insurance coverage. Harry and claimant Baroness Doreen Lawrence issued a statement calling the judgment "a complete reversal" of previous positions taken by courts in similar hacking cases against other publishers.
