Scotland goalkeeper Gunn signs for San Jose Earthquakes

Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn has signed for MLS side San Jose Earthquakes after being released by Nottingham Forest. The 30-year-old, who has 25 caps for his country, has agreed a contract until the end of the 2030 MLS season. Gunn played all three of Scotland's group games at the World Cup in the United States, including a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Haiti. The Earthquakes, managed by Bruce Arena, currently sit second in the Western Conference and third overall, and Gunn has targeted a title challenge. Arena expressed pleasure at signing "a quality goalkeeper" with Premier League and World Cup experience. Gunn began his career with Manchester City and has also played for Norwich City, Southampton, and Stoke City before joining Forest last August, where he made only one substitute appearance.
