17 years later, Minecraft is finally adding somewhere to sit

Seventeen years after its release, Minecraft is finally adding cushions, allowing players to sit down. Available in 16 color variants, cushions require three Wool Slabs of the same color to craft. The update also introduces straw beds, which let players sleep through the night without setting their spawn point, but are destroyed after one use and don't work in the Nether or The End. The update, available in Minecraft Preview, also includes abandoned camps in the Pale Garden and Flower Forest biomes and improvements to the Dappled Forest. However, the news comes amid significant layoffs at Microsoft-owned studios, including Mojang, as part of what Xbox CEO Asha Sharma called the "most significant" Xbox restructuring in history.
