A delayed next generation of consoles is "better for us", says The Blood of Dawnwalker director, as price rises continue to plague the industry

He noted that rising console prices due to component shortages and generative AI datacenter demand could lead to stretched-out console generations, which would make development easier by allowing studios to focus on current platforms. Tomaszkiewicz explained that adding new platforms multiplies the work required for testing and building, and that working with current consoles is easier to manage, though Rebel Wolves has ambitions to create a series of games that will eventually move into next-generation territory.
