The recently released Call of Duty Black Ops 1 and 2 ports for PlayStation 4 and 5 are plagued with hackers and modded lobbies, featuring issues like instant max level, player demotion, and wallhacks. Activision responded by disabling the Ground War and Domination playlists, then re-enabling them with a server-side fix that boosted affected players to level 20, promising more fixes. The problems stem from the games' peer-to-peer hosting model and the ability to modify save files on PS4, which then affect cross-generation play on PS5.
