Over 16 years ago, in April 2010, Microsoft shut down Xbox Live for the original Xbox, ending multiplayer for many games including "Halo 2." However, 14 dedicated players who were already connected at the time of shutdown realized they could continue playing indefinitely as long as they kept their consoles on and connected. These players, who became known as the "Noble 14," managed to keep the game alive for an additional 25 days before finally disconnecting.
