Developers from Ubisoft Barcelona, who contributed to creating the underwater world of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, are being laid off despite the game's commercial success, which saw it sell two million copies in about 24 hours. The developers took to social media to comment on the company's decision to dismiss them. The layoffs are part of a broader wave of job cuts at Ubisoft, with 380 employees being let go across offices in Winnipeg, Belgrade, Barcelona, and the global publishing division.
