Collin Gosselin gets support for bombshell memoir from fellow reality star: ‘Proud to call him my friend’

Collin Gosselin has received support from fellow reality star Alexia Umansky ahead of the release of his bombshell memoir about his childhood with parents Kate and Jon Gosselin. Collin posted photos on Instagram of the two having dinner in Los Angeles, with Umansky commenting, 'Now you just need to move to LA!' She also shared her support on her Instagram Story, writing, 'So proud of @collingosselin1 and everything he’s standing up for. Proud to call him my friend.' Collin's upcoming memoir, 'In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood,' is set for release on Oct. 13. According to the publisher's description, the book promises to reveal the 'never-before-told story of how [Collin] escaped and found his way back from the dark,' including accounts of 'being held down, the basement cell where he was hidden for years and the cocktail of powerful antipsychotics forced on an 11-year-old boy.' The Gosselin family rose to fame on TLC's 'Jon & Kate Plus 8,' and Collin has previously accused Kate of 'child abuse and child exploitation,' which she has denied. Last month, Kate called Collin 'mentally ill' in response to a TikTok comment.
