Former talk show host Montel Williams has made a rare comment about his past romance with former Vice President Kamala Harris, saying "I don't kiss and tell" and that "who she dated 30, 40 years ago doesn't matter." Williams and Harris briefly dated in the early 2000s when Harris worked as an attorney in San Francisco. Photos of them at a 2001 gala resurfaced in 2020 after Harris became vice president-elect. Williams also weighed in on Harris's 2024 presidential campaign, saying he didn't think it would work out due to the lateness of her campaign after President Biden dropped out. He called Harris "one of the smartest people I think I've ever met" but said "circumstances and timing were all bad." Williams also stated he doesn't believe America is ready to elect a woman as president "in the next four or five years."
