Prior to a round of layoffs that affected more than half of the studio, id Software was reportedly exploring pitches for several new game projects. According to a report, the studio was "toying with" ideas including a new entry in the "Perfect Dark" franchise, as well as a game inspired by the "John Wick" films. The report suggests that these concepts were in the early stages of development before the significant workforce reduction by Microsoft.
