This comes after McConnell was hospitalized following a series of health issues. McConnell's office has denied these claims, stating in a statement that he "appreciates the outpouring of support" and "continues to improve" while working closely with his staff. The senator was hospitalized in February with flu-like symptoms and again in June after being found unconscious at his home, with reports of CPR being administered for a cardiac arrest. Senate records show McConnell has not voted since June 11.
