Barbara Weber, mother of former Bachelor star Peter Weber, has seemingly responded to claims made in former franchise producer Julie LaPlaca's tell-all memoir, The Love Producer. Barbara wrote on Instagram, "Lift the NDAs. Let Peter tell HIS story!" suggesting her son is bound by a nondisclosure agreement. She received support in the comments, including from Love Island USA alum Carsten "Bergie" Bergersen, and when asked if Peter's contract had expired, she alleged, "It needs to be lifted." LaPlaca's memoir claims she secretly dated Weber after his season aired. She told Us Weekly that Peter reacted "from a place of fear" to her book and that she offered to let him read a copy before publication. LaPlaca stated she is "not out to get" Weber but is "just sharing my truth," adding that she received closure from him years later via a phone conversation. Peter has since slammed LaPlaca's book in a statement to TMZ, calling her actions contradictory to her role as his confidant during his Bachelor season.
