Meta quietly launches vibe-coded gaming app Pocket

02 juil. · 10 vues

Meta has quietly launched a new gaming app called Pocket, which allows users to generate small, interactive apps and games using AI prompts. The app is a result of Meta's acquisition of the team behind the vibe-coded gaming platform Gizmo earlier this year. Pocket describes itself as "a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos," which are the interactive experiences, and includes a scrollable feed where users can play with gizmos created by others. Based on screenshots in Google Play, Pocket shares many similarities with Gizmo's original app, which is still listed. The app was first launched on June 29, 2026, on both the App Store and Google Play, according to data from app intelligence provider Appfigures. Reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi first noticed the launch and published a screenshot on X. Pocket is another example of Meta's push to make AI creation tools more mainstream, extending earlier efforts like AI-generated images via Meta AI and AI videos via its Vibes app. Given that Meta has not officially announced Pocket's debut, it is likely still in its initial experimentation phase. In contrast, Gizmo had generated 635,000 lifetime installs across iOS and Google Play with a 98% positive sentiment.
