"Just too gay" - Robert Yang is battling censorship to launch a collection of his award-winning games on Steam and Itch, and it's completely free

Award-winning game designer Robert Yang has launched Radiator Forever, an "ongoing re-remaster" compilation of his short experimental games, available for free on Steam and Itch.io. The collection initially includes four of Yang's acclaimed games: Rinse and Repeat, Hurt Me Plenty, Succulent, and Stick Shift, with more titles to be added over time. Yang describes his release model as "GaaS" or "Gay as a Service." Yang's homoerotic, politically charged work has faced censorship challenges, with Radiator Forever struggling for visibility on both platforms following crackdowns on adult-oriented games. These crackdowns were prompted by a campaign from conservative Australian group Collective Shout and pressure from payment processors like Visa and Mastercard. Additionally, the UK Online Safety Act has forced Itch.io to geoblock the UK. Future additions to the collection include The Tearoom, Hard Lads, Logjam, and Rainbows Are Carnivores, with Cobra Club expected to require a more substantial rework and likely not arriving until 2027 or 2028.
