Madonna's 'Danceteria' BTS is a Star-Studded Ode to 1980s Club Culture

Madonna has given fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of her "Danceteria" sequence from her upcoming project "Confessions II: The Film," featured on her new album "Confessions II." The Instagram video, described as a "trip down memory lane," pays homage to the iconic 1980s NYC nightclub Danceteria. The clip features a star-studded cast including Kate Moss, Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard E. Grant, Gwendoline Christie, and Odessa A'zion. The video shows playful interactions, such as Gwendoline Christie confessing she's waited her whole life for the moment and Madonna asking Cumberbatch if he's ready to dance. The sequence includes nods to Madonna's early career, with a dancer in a "Like a Virgin" tank top and Madonna tucking a cassette tape into her bust. Longtime friend Debi Mazar, who appears in the video, says it feels like being back in the 1980s but is modern, adding that "we need a dance record."
