Neill's family confirmed his death on July 13, stating he passed with dignity in Sydney, Australia. The cause was not specified but was described as sudden and unexpected. Neill had recently been in full remission from stage three angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, an aggressive blood cancer diagnosed in 2022. He is survived by his daughter Elena and son Tim.
