Taylor Strecker was auditioning for major ‘Housewives’ franchise at start of ‘House of Stassi’ gig

Taylor Strecker has revealed that she was in the middle of auditioning for "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" when she landed her spot on Stassi Schroeder's new Hulu show, "House of Stassi." Strecker, who has been close friends with Schroeder for more than a decade, said Schroeder encouraged her to audition for the Bravo show despite the timing. Strecker said she still hasn't heard back from Bravo producers about her audition. "House of Stassi" will also star Schroeder's husband Beau Clark, former "Vanderpump Rules" star Katie Maloney, and ex-SUR waitress Kristina Kelly. Strecker shut down speculation that the upcoming show is scripted, saying "Your job is to be yourself." The show premieres on July 29 on Freeform and will be available to stream on Hulu the following day.
