Influencer Luva de Pedreiro has called on FIFA to take action and impose strict punishments against Argentine fans after streamer iShowSpeed suffered racist attacks during two Argentina matches at the 2026 World Cup. During a match between Egypt and Argentina in Atlanta, a fan pointed at Speed and imitated monkey gestures, a scene that went viral. This followed an earlier incident where a woman shouted at the influencer, telling him to "go cry at the zoo." Luva de Pedreiro, who watched a Brazil match with Speed days earlier, demanded FIFA punish the perpetrators, calling them "bums" and "scoundrels." FIFA had previously stated it would open an investigation after the first incident. iShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., has over 50 million Instagram followers and has been closely following key matches of the tournament.
